This unique residence is a modern reworking of the Great Western Hotel, built in 1844 and reputed to be the oldest surviving railway hotel in the world.
The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, providing easy access tothat the city has to offer, yet it has kept the original ambience of the historic building.
The building also contains a chic brasserie, sumptuous bar and meeting amenities.
The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.
When booking 6 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. The property will contact the guest following their reservation.
We have no parking facilities on site and directly outside the hotel there are double red lines which means we do not have a offpick up area for luggage. Before parking in one the recommended car parks below, the best place to park to off safely is the Reading Station Short Stay Car Park which is free for 20 minutes and is located opposite the hotel.
When travelling with a dog, please note that an extra charge of £25 for 1 dog or £40 for maximum 2 dogs, per night applies. Dogs are allowed in designated guest rooms-please notify the hotel in advance.
The Breakfast inclusive rates include a Full-cooked breakfast and Dinner inclusive rates includes 2 courses from our seasonal menu and a side dish . Supplements apply to certain items. Inclusions only apply for adults. Children’s Breakfast is not included in the advertised rates and the charges are as follows directly to the hotel: 0-4 years old – Breakfast Complimentary5- 11 years old – Breakfast charged at 50% full price 12 and over breakfast charged at full adult price. Kids Dinner Menu also available.

Standard Twin Room. The twin beds feature silky soft cotton sheets, plump pillows and soft mattresses. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, bath and luxury toiletries. ;
Club Double Room. Club room with a queen-size bed, an en suite bathroom with luxury toiletries, a flat-screen TV, bathrobe and slippers. ;
Junior Suite. Junior Suite are open plan rooms with plasma TV, King-size bed, monsoon shower and features include a coffee machine. ;
Suite. Suite with lounge with plasma TV, bedroom with King-size bed and plasma TV, en-suite with separate bath and monsoon shower.
