The Old Vicarage Hotel & Restaurant is one of the oldest buildings in Bridgwater, with some parts dating back to the 14th century. The property has undergone extensive renovations to the oldest parts of the property, including 9 of the bedrooms, in 2019.
The bar and restaurant serves lunch, evening meals and we offerour guest a continental breakfast buffet with home cooked traditional as well.
Situated in the heart of the town centre, there is a garden and patio area,guests can enjoy their morning coffee, lunch or a drink.
Just off of the M5 at Junction 24, the hotel is close to many attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, Quantock Hills, Glastonbury, Wells, Wookey Hole and the city of Bristol.
The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.
Due to the age of the building, there are steep stairs leading to certain rooms, which may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Furthermore, some rooms have wonky floors, to be avoided if you suffer from any imbalance symptoms.
Please note that parking at the hotel is very limited. Spaces are allocated spaces on a first come, first served basis. However, there is free parking from 18:00 - 08:00 on the road outside the hotel, or 18:00 - 09:00 in close by car parks. Parking tickets will be refunded. There are also 2 off spaces outside the hotel.
The Old Vicarage Hotel welcomes well-behaved dogs in the classic rooms for a GBP 15 per night, per dog fee. They will be provided with a dog bed, bowls, treats and toilet bags. Dogs must be kept on a lead attimes, mess must be picked up and disposed of and no dog may be left in a room on its own. Please inform the property in advance if travelling with a pet.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
King Suite. This suite overlooks the church one side and the garden the other. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and a walk-in shower. It has a vaulted, beamed ceiling and a brass super king-size four-poster bed with Hypnos mattresses. It has a seating area with a sofa, chair and log-effect fire. Complimentary toiletries and fluffy towels are included as well as tea and coffee making facilities, flat-screen TV, WiFi, hairdryer, Egyptian cotton sheets, synthetic bedding and bathrobes. ;
Classic Single Room. This large single room has an en-suite shower room with toiletries and towels included, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, WiFi, Egyptian cotton sheets, synthetic bedding, hairdryer and a dressing gown. ;
Family Room. This family room, suitable for two adults and two children, has two large rooms linked together. One has a double bed, the other two single beds sharing an en-suite shower room which includes toiletries and towels also included are tea and coffee making facilities, a TV in each bedroom, WiFi, hairdryer, Egyptian cotton bedding, synthetic bedding and dressing gowns. ;
Classic Twin Room. This room consists of two single beds and an en-suite shower room which includes toiletries and towels. Tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, WiFi, hairdryer and Egyptian cotton bedding are included as well. It is situated on the ground floor and has a garden view. ;
Classic Double Room. These rooms have an en-suite bathroom with toiletries, a hairdryer and towels. Some include a bath and walk-in shower while others include a walk-in shower only. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV, WiFi and Egyptian cotton bedding are included as well.
